9/22/2023 0 Comments Farming simulator 17 best modsApart from missions, there are some notable changes in Farming Simulator 17, including the option to fertilize fields multiple times and fixed plowing after a set number of harvests. These missions, once completed, can help you buy the land at a much lower cost than the original price. However, when it comes to Farming Simulator 17, you must also complete different missions created by other farmers.Īll plots available for purchase are owned by farmers who will pay you if you complete a mission. ![]() The overall goal of playing any of the games in the farming simulation series is to buy the entire available land on the map and grow the largest farm possible. Become the best farmer in the landĪpart from its zen-like gaming appeal, there is a purpose behind the endless plowing of fields. Some new features included in this version are crops like sunflowers and soybeans, a bigger collection of farming equipment, and natural fertilizers for people who don’t like chemicals. It gained over a million players in merely the first quarter of its release. Published by Focus Home Interactive, Farming Simulator 17 is quite popular. Cattle and Crops has this implemented beautifully.Though the premise may seem boring to new farmers, it’s anything but. The one thing I want to see implemented in FS19 is ground deformation. I get the feeling there is a lack of passion from the developers, or laziness, perhaps. Using these mods along with a lot of other less essential gameplay mods and eye candy, FS17 STILL feels lacking to me. Make it possible to automate almost any operation. ![]() ![]() I would think that seasons are a basic concept of farm life and any "farming simulator" would implement same. For a controller I just use this, but the Gearbox mod can also be used. You will actually have to use tractors that have the proper horsepower requirements to pull various implements or trailers. Reduced ability of tractors to pull heavy trailers or implements. This is an enhanced physics engine that better simulates real life, sooo much better. You can look those up in the Mods section Ingame.įor me, these are the mods that which without, FS17 is dissappointing and unplayable:ġ. "Better Steering" or "Keyboard Steering" for better handling of vehicles.Įverything else such as tools and vehicles are a nice addition to the stock vehicles but not necessary. "GPS Mod", this one creates a visual overlay, which helps you to keep the right course while working a field on your own. "seasons", if you want hardcore realism "fertilizer seeds pigfood", which gives you 100l bag of solid fertilizer seeds and pigfood, movable by hand which i find very handy. Keep in mind that crops get only destroyed by a player driving over the fields not the AI helper. Same goes with other AI mods such as "Follow me" and the "AI Vehicle Extension".įor a little bit more of realism I would recommend "Better Fuel Usage" and all three "4real modules", these add ground response and realistic dirt to tires as well as crop destruction. Get the newest developer version from Github. What I'm playing right now is "The Valley The Old Farm", this map is not to cramped and has alot of space to maneuver, there's a decent amount of traffic and selling points, lots of forests a biogas plant etc., overall my new favorite.Ī must have mod for sure is "Courseplay v5", which lets you draw and automatically create courses for the AI helper to work/drive on, especially useful for fields which are not square, as in most maps. ![]() In terms of maps, "Gemeinde Rade" is quite detailed and big, "Gamsting" is also one of the better maps, even tough it's new and still quite buggy.
